Help Bring Mental Wellbeing Within Everyone’s Reach

Nearly 30 million Americans still can’t get the mental health or substance use treatment they need. Behind those numbers are neighbors, coworkers, friends and family — people left waiting because of workforce shortages, long delays and lingering stigma.
The National Council for Mental Wellbeing is changing that. We’re leading a nationwide movement to ensure everyone has access to high-quality, comprehensive mental health and substance use treatment. We support 3,400+ organizations serving 15+ million people each year, helping communities grow stronger, healthier and more resilient.
Your support powers real change — turning bold ideas into action that expands care, strengthens communities and saves lives. When you donate, you help us:
Expand access to care. Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) now serve over 3 million people annually in 46 states, reducing wait times from weeks to days and ensuring help is available when it’s needed most.
Strengthen the workforce. Through programs like our Center for Workforce Solutions, we’re tackling staff shortages, burnout and licensing barriers so more professionals can serve where they’re needed most.
Break stigma through education. More than 4 million people have been trained in Mental Health First Aid, gaining the skills to recognize and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges before they become crises.
Drive policy that saves lives. Our advocacy has expanded telehealth, strengthened crisis response through the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, and secured billions in funding for community care
Every gift fuels programs and services that bring care, dignity and hope to millions. Your generosity helps us reach more people, empower more organizations and build a future where mental wellbeing is a reality for all.
